Avoid Waste 8 Clever Ways to Use Orange

"The brightening and energetic food of the dark winter days are definitely citrus fruits. Orange is also a citrus fruit and with its peel, fruit and even juice, it is not only delicious and fragrant but also very nutritious. Every part of the orange can be used in countless ways. Here are the great orange use ideas ... "

    Orange peels

Many people focus on the fruit of the orange and throw it away after peeling the peel. However, the skin of this fruit is very useful. Contains hesperidin, a polyphenol that may have cancer benefits. And that wonderful aroma that you smell when you peel an orange comes from the citrus oil limonene in the peel, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer benefits, especially for skin cancer.

    1. Beverage infusion:

We're sure you've made a million lemon water so far, but what about orange juice? You can cut the orange into slices and add it to your tea or water and add flavor.

    2. Orange tea

You can make orange tea like any other fruit. Boil 4 slices of orange, 3-4 cloves, 1 small root of turmeric and 2 glasses of water. Add half a stick of cinnamon to the mixture after it boils, steep, strain and drink!

    3. Candied orange peel:

One of the most delicious ways to avoid wasting orange peel is to make candy.

Extract the orange peel and pulp (the white part under the skin) in four parts. Then cut them into strips.

Put the strips in boiling water for 15 minutes, then strain.

Mix 1½ cup sugar and 3 cups water in a large saucepan.  Stir and boil.

Put the orange peel strips in the mixture and cook for 30 minutes until the peel is soft. Keep the orange syrup in the fridge to add flavor to your teas and desserts.

On the other side, put granulated sugar in a bowl and dip the softened orange peels into sugar, spreading all over.

Arrange on a baking paper lined tray, let dry for at least 3 hours. You can also dip the orange peels into melted dark chocolate for an extra flavor!

    4. Orange zest

The orange area on the outside of the orange peel can be used to add flavor to many dishes. Add orange zest to seafood, chicken, especially olive oil dishes, desserts, salads, and even smoothies to revitalize their flavor. You can also grate an orange peel on it to decorate your desserts.

    5. Room fragrance

You can dry orange slices and create decoration items from them, and at the same time create a wonderful scent for your room. Another way to make room fragrance from orange is to combine it with cloves. Stick the cloves over the whole orange and hang them in a corner of your room. You will find that it smells great.

    Orange juice

Orange juice, which is especially sought after breakfast, is full of potassium, folate and vitamin C!

    6 Flavor cubes

Make ice cubes with freshly squeezed orange juice and add them to your tea, water or lemonade. Here is a simple way to increase the flavor of your drink and add some vitamin C!

    7. Decorate your baked goods

A little fresh orange juice adds flavor to cakes, breads, cookies and many more pastries. You can replace half of the liquid in the recipe with fresh orange juice. For example, if a recipe requires cup of milk, replace half with orange juice.

    8.Use in marinating process

You can also add orange juice to the mixture while marinating products such as chicken, fish and meat. Combine contemporary fruit crush with additional virgin oil, garlic, contemporary ginger, contemporary herbs, salt and pepper. You will not believe the flavor it gives to the food!
